F.A.Q. For Making a Reservation at the Cottage
What is the best way to make a reservation?
You can either book your stay at Fish Tales Cottage online or call us directly at (250)888-4867. Our online booking system is secure, SSL-protected and accepts major credit card payments in all currencies. You can also pay with Pay Pal. Your first payment (50% of total cost) is due 14 days days before arrival. The remaining balance is due 2 days before check-in. We will e-mail you a notice when your payments are due.
Do I need to stay a minimum nights?
On our website we require a 2 night minimum. Although we may allow a 1 night stay at last minute notice by contacting us with the form below or e-mail Denise >email@example.com
What taxes and fees will I be charged?
Provincial Sales Tax of 8% applies to sales of short-term accommodation provided in BC and Goods and Service Tax of 5% tax on the supply of goods and services that are purchased in Canada. The total of these taxes show as “Sales Tax = PST + GST” when you make a reservation.
We charge $100 for a one-time cleaning fee. Our cottage is professionally cleaned by Port Renfrew Cleaning Ltd.
How will I receive my confirmation and arrival instructions?
All confirmation and arrival instructions will be sent via e-mail. You will receive a reservation confirmation via e-mail within minutes of making your reservation. 2 days before your arrival you'll receive another e-mail with cottage access and other information. If you have not received these e-mails, please contact Denise at (250) 888-4867 or via e-mail >firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is the Cancellation and Refund Policy?
100% of paid prepayments refundable when canceled 2 days before arrival or earlier. 0% refundable if cancelled after.
Is a damage deposit required?
We do not charge a damage deposit. Accidents happen and when they do please let us know so we can prepare for the next guests arrival.
Can I bring my pet?
Yes, our property is pet-friendly. No additional fees for pets. We ask that pets don't get on any of the furniture and when you're outdoors with your pet we ask that they be on a leash.
Do you have Covid-19 cleaning protocols implemented?
The cottage is professionally cleaned by Port Renfrew Cleaning Ltd. They have implemented Covid-19 cleaning protocols/practices to assure the safety of staff and quests. >Details
